Robert “The General” Perez -
Muay Thai, MMA, Cardio and Conditioning
Robert
"Bob" Perez has over twenty six years combative sports
experience.He has competed in Muay Thai, Boxing, Grappling,
and Pancarse Style fighting. Bob was introduced to Vale Tudo
in 2000, and has been training, and training fighters ever
since. A student of Calvin Carter, Bob honed his Muay Thai
skills under Houston Muay Thai legend Kru Pong. Although a
striking instrucor, Bob is belted in BJJ under Helio Gracie
student, Pedro Valente( Gracie Miami).
As a coach, Robert is quickly becoming one of the most
recognized trainers in Texas. Having won "TEXAS MMA TRAINER
OF THE YEAR 2008", along side his partner Jeremy Mahon, he
has deservingly earned the nickname "THE GENERAL ", for he
has created and leads a small army of fighters at the 4 oz .
FIGHT CLUB. An innovative trainer, Bob trains fighters for
MMA SPECIFIC striking, and has found the formula for putting
out successful fighters. Bob has also developed a reputation
for his fight conditioning program, which is second to
none.The General not only trains his fighters, but helps
train fighters, and instructors from houston, and
surrounding area gyms. Bob has trained multiple mma
champions, and aspires to train world champions in the near
future.
Jeremy Mahon -
Muay Thai, MMA, Cardio and Conditioning
Jeremy Mahon began
training muay thai in 200
0 and BJJ in
2004. He was also an instructor for the USMC Matrtial Arts
program and is a decorated combat veteran. Mahon has
competed since 2005 in boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ and MMA.
Jeremy has been training fighters and those wanting to
achieve a higher level of fitness since 2007, and was the
co- recipient for Texas MMA Trainer of the Year in 2008.
Renan
Chavez - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Renan Chavez received his black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu
under Pablo Popovitch / Erick Williams and has over a
decade’s worth of jiu-jitsu and grappling experience. He is
a multiple time NAGA (North American Grappling Association)
Expert division champion and has taken the podium in
numerous jiu-jitsu and grappling events. Chavez has also
officiated at many jiu-jitsu and grappling tournaments which
prove his level of expertise and dedication to the sport of
BJJ. Chavez has trained with BJJ experts such as Cyborg,
Jeff Monson, and Damian Maia among many others.
